Saab 9-3 & 9-5 Owners Get Performance Upgrades

The super Swiss tuner Hirsch Performance Parts has extended their partnership with Saab into the United States.  What does this means for Saab owners? Well, for owners of the Saab 9-3 (2007 through 2011 models) and the Saab 9-5 (2010 and 2011 models), the dealer network will bring some upgrading capabilities that normally weren’t readily available.

The biggest performance modification is the remapped ECU for both the turbocharged 2.0 liter inline-4 and turbo 2.8 liter V-6 which increases output on both engines by 30 horsepower bringing the 2.0 liter up to 260 horsepower and the V-6 up to 330 horsepower at the flywheel.   Other modifications that become available are exhaust, suspension, sport springs, and brake kits.  There are also a wealth of exterior modifications as well, such as 4 piece grille inserts, decklid spoilers, alloy wheels, carbon-fiber rear diffusers and front splitters.  And easily the biggest positive out of all of it is that the installation of the modifications doesn’t void the manfacturers warranty and if they are installed within 60 days of the sale of the new vehicle, it gets wrapped in with the same warranty as the car.

To take advantage of these modding opportunities, you can visit the Hirsch website for pricing of the mods (without installation) and also contact Jim Ellis Saab in Atlanta or Jim Ellis Saab in Marietta for more information.
